In 1983 Herb and Linda Johnson purchased the former Bristol Harley-Davidson dealership and moved it to Meredith. The site of the original location for Meredith Harley-Davidson was on the corner of Route 104 and Winona Road.
It wasn't long before the dealership grew, and a new home for the dealership was built at the corner of Mill and Maple Streets just off Route 3 in downtown Meredith.
The Johnsons continued to see the dealership grow and once again expansion was necessary within the Maple and Mill street facility.
As the dealership continued to grow in size so did the number of employees. Having started the dealership with just themselves and one service repair person, it was not long before the company grew to over 20 employees.
By the fall of 2003, the dealership employed over 70 employees between our Meredith and Conway locations. Everyone pitched in to move the main store to its new location, a 45,000 square foot facility on Route 3 in Meredith next to Hart's Turkey Farm Restaurant.
