Collin Zaremba Memorial Fund
Collin was more than just our coworker; he was a friend, little brother figure, and part of our family. We worked side-by-side with him, watched him goof around, and heard his unique laugh reverberate through the dealership. Since his passing, it has been reassuring to know our love for him was mutually reciprocated. His mother Betty shared stories of Collin coming home and talking about our dealership family helping fix his bike, showing him cool new parts to buy, and many funny conversations had. Most notably, he would use our first names when talking to Betty, like she knew who every single one of us was.
Collin passed away doing what he loved – riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. If you were to spend any amount of time with him, this would be readily apparent. If it was a nice day, it was a guarantee he would be on two wheels. If he thought it was nice enough to ride and you didn't, you'd hear him say (with a little bit of judgment), “I'm surprised you didn't ride today." When a unique, one-of-a-kind, or rare motorcycle pulled into the dealership he was one of the first people walking outside to ask questions about the build.
He loved sharing his passion for motorcycles with others. He was most excited when convincing friends to sign up for Riding Academy and helping new graduates find their first bikes. This included Betty’s friends, many of whom he convinced to take the Riding Academy course.
In his memory and honor, we are creating the Collin Zaremba Memorial Fund to propel his passion for getting more people on two wheels. The purpose of this fund is to:
- Personalize a memorial brick at the Harley-Davidson Foundation's Davidson Park in Milwaukee, WI
- Purchase equipment that will improve the experience for Riding Academy students
- Offer scholarships to prospective Riding Academy students
